Hey, hey, hey, everyone, and welcome to Zoetic Chat. Unleash your Life's Purpose with me, jan Mayfield. Welcome to Season 1, episode 10,. And it is December. Everyone is frantically shopping, emptying the supermarket shelves with food they might not even eat, filling their baskets and trolleys and just getting ready for the festive time. What's your festive time going to be like? Festive time what's your festive time going to be like? Do you have lots of family and friends coming around? Is there just you and a couple of other people? Are families getting together when they afford it? This year? What's happening in your household? Household? I should be spending the Christmas Eve, christmas day and the day after Christmas day with my mother, and I guess I'll let you know if I'm right or wrong that in the afternoon she'll be falling asleep, watching telly, falling asleep, watching television, falling asleep. So I hope there's a good movie on that I can watch that she can fall asleep to, because she'll wake up and be like well, I don't think I did fall asleep. You know how it goes. She's 90 years old now, so some of those things are beginning to happen, although she's done really well. But anyway, whatever your festivities are, I wish you the best.
Speaker 1:You know, sometimes it's good to think about releasing, to get ready to receive and letting go before the new year begins. I'm not talking about new year resolutions. I'm not talking about going to the gym, signing up to the gym. Just because it's january, all the gyms will be having the january gym offers on um, and so will all the dieting companies and uh, um I can't think of the names of these uh places that you go, where they weigh you every week and that kind of thing. They'll all be having their offers on to entice you in.
Speaker 1:But I like to let go of everything from that previous year before the year starts. So I'm beginning to do that now thinking about things that I don't want to take into the new year, thinking about how different people have treated me, and letting go of that kind of thing, letting go of emotions, connecting to other people. There's been a lot this year of emotion, actually emotion regarding illness, emotion regarding people in my life, and whether that's family, whether it's friends, whether it's internet acquaintances. There's been a lot of ups and downs, let me tell you, but it's stopping in 2024. I'm leaving it here. So I'm beginning to let go of those things and you know, when you say those words I'm done. That really means you're done. So I'm done with being treated the way I have been treated by some people and I'm done carrying anything through to next year.
Speaker 1:So it's important to release emotional baggage. And why is it important? Because it helps you to create a space for the new things to come in your life, to help you to move forward, to give you the blessings and to give you the love that you deserve on your path. Sometimes we can just let go by thinking about gratitude and grace and moving into the new year with an open heart. So being grateful for every single thing that's happened to or around you. Be grateful for it. I'm grateful for every single thing, and I don't think I'm going to name each one of them. I'm just going to be grateful for the job lot.
Speaker 1:Imagine it in a warehouse and thank the universe for allowing me to experience everything that's in that warehouse. Then I'm going to shut the big doors, make them bang and then lock that door with about 10 different locks and then eventually that will rot and it will not go into 2025. So gratitude will help you to open your heart for things to come. It's very, very powerful. It's a powerful tool for reflection and transformation. So you're reflecting with gratitude, which then enables transformation to come in. You know, when I'm using the Angel of Atlantis card, sometimes there's a card on there with transmutation. Oh, I love that word. Let me say it again for you Transmutation, movement and change oh, it just hits me in the belly. My six-pack connecting to my soul tightens up and I know that I'm ready for that movement of transmutation. Are you ready for yours? Are you ready for the transmutation that's happening and going to happen as you move forward in your life? It's amazing.
Speaker 1:Think also, you know, about the magic of giving. Giving to people is not all about the size or the cost of what you're giving, it's the thought that goes with it. And I can remember times where, in the not too distant past, where I've received body washes highly scented, with a scent that almost makes me heave. And if people know me, I like no smell. I like no smell. Body wash no smell. Hairspray hairspray no smell. Conditioner no smell. Washing powder because I like to just wear a perfume, a scent or an oil, just that. I don't like my clothes to overpower the smell of me and my natural smell, really. And the perfumes that I purchase. I don't like that. So this is not being ungrateful this know the gift. Know the person. Know the person. Know the gift. I can name endless times when people clearly don't know you. I mean, people would know that I don't like smell like that because I talk about it on my social media and within family. I don't like walking into my own home that's got about 10 different scented candles burning away that are fighting with each other and fighting with my nostrils to receive the first or the most powerful smell, which is then going to go on and give me 10 sneezes. Do you know where I'm at? So give, give thoughtfully. Know the person. If you're not sure, ask a few leading questions and then you'll soon find out.
Speaker 1:Acts of kindness and acts of giving can elevate your spirit. You can get a lot out of giving to other people about being kind. By just saying hello is kindness. Possibly buying someone a drink in a coffee shop, giving up your seat for someone smiling as you walk down the street All those are acts of kindness that elevate your spirit, but also they make the person that's receiving them feel amazing. Remember that when you dive deep into your giving, receiving and gratitude, you will soon begin to receive spiritual rewards of generosity, and how giving aligns us to our higher selves. Giving is an amazing act on all levels. So remember when you're giving, how are you giving and what are you giving.
Speaker 1:There are certain people that I can't give to and I don't know why I get a block and I can't give gifts because it just doesn't feel right. I'd give my time, which is a gift, I'd give thoughts and I'd give advice. Some people I just cannot buy gifts for, and you know it's just not meant to be so. If you get that feeling that you can't buy someone a gift, it's coming from a different place within you, maybe your soul, maybe your higher self. Do you believe your soul and your higher self are the same things? Just a little question I'm throwing in there to make you not make you, but to create thoughts.
Speaker 1:Now let's find some stillness amid the hustle and bustle of the holiday. So we need to sometimes make sure that we are grounded. So placing our feet on the ground outside with no socks or shoes on is perfect. Imagining roots going out of the bottom of your feet, going deep into Mother Earth and connecting and tying around the rocks and the crystals inside will keep you grounded Inside the Earth. That is, having a visualisation of that if you can't go outside and stand on the ground, visualising the roots coming out of the bottom of your feet and going through the floor into Mother Earth and tying themselves around the rocks. Also placing a mirror, a huge mirror, around you. So it's a circular mirror. You stand in the center of it and it reflects everything that you don't need.
Speaker 1:So sometimes you need to be in the company of people that you perhaps would not rather be and that will reflect away from you what you don't like or what you feel isn't right just for that day, really, unless you keep it up or have to see them again. Of course. Also, you could take a little meditation, go and sit for five minutes in your car or have a little walk down the garden and play five minute meditation in your ears just as you're walking. Maybe you've got time for longer than that. Maybe you could get the whole family meditating after Christmas lunch, and I can get that. Maybe nine out of ten of them will fall asleep.
Speaker 1:How do you find your stillness? How do you find your calm inside the holiday hustle? So what is your soul's gift to the world. How are you going to share your light this Christmas? It's time to reflect, you know, on your unique purpose. Think about why you're here, what you're doing, get motivated. Make a list, make a chart, make a diagram of everything that needs to be in order. Do it now, before January. Think about what else your soul is here to do. What is it? What have you come here to do in your life, in this time, in this body, body on earth? What do you need to share and how are you going to give back authentically to people during the holidays?
Speaker 1:Unfortunately, I won't be able to get on social media on Christmas day. Otherwise I would, and the reason I would is because there are so many people on their own who will be tuning in to social media and that will be their lifeline. The same for Boxing Day, but hopefully I can be back on on Boxing Day evening if not, it will be the day after To connect to people who are on their own, who want to listen or have a conversation about their spiritual path or things that might happen next year. Join with those people that have no one around them. Really Join with them. Maybe, just again, it's a smile when you're walking down the street or opening your window and waving as the man or woman walks past with the dog, but you don't really know what they're going into when they walk home. Do you Reflect on your uniqueness, your unique purpose, and share your light with the world? Just smile brightly and the world will see you start the coming year as you mean to go on. Start by freeing yourself from everything that you've been connected to prior. Everything that's held you back in 24 is staying in 24. So you've got plenty of space to move forward, of space to move forward.
Speaker 1:I'm beginning my fifth year of Realign to your True Self. I can't believe it. I can't believe that I've been running that for five years. I've seen so many people change themselves in their life. I've seen so many people alter direction and realize that what they've got is actually not what's for them. It's what they keep themselves in. They lock themselves in a position or a place that isn't really for them, but they need help to get out of it. That's what Realign to your True Self does. Speaker 1:I can't stress how strongly I feel about helping people to release what no longer serves them, for you to find your space on earth. It's amazing, remember? I've seen people that are hoarders stop hoarding, selling their stuff, going on cruises. I've seen people ready to take themselves home and they're still here. I've seen people taking 30, 40 tablets a day have themselves reassessed and they're now on about eight, not suggesting anyone should stop taking theirs. This is all done under medical supervision. It's amazing, people that haven't been out on their own for 12 years suddenly getting a job speaking at people's funerals, getting a second job because the first one wasn't fulfilling enough, that's in the last year Amazing Coffee shop on their own, dancing on their own, swimming on their own, yoga on their own Amazing, on their own, amazing. And that's just to name a few.
Speaker 1:There's a lady that joined us last time that is now used to sorry, she used to stay in bed all morning because she got nothing to get up for. Since doing the course, she's gone. She goes swimming every day. She does aqua aerobics so many times a day a week, sorry and she's joined a Zumba class. She's just exercising and exercising, meeting with people. She was telling me the other day that when she was off she got a bug and she was quite poorly for nearly two weeks and they sent her flowers, the groups that she was in, and you can see a face just smiles and she glows with happiness. You know where that happiness comes from Inside yourself. That happiness isn't external. It's not in Tesco, sainsbury's, walmart, anywhere like that. All that happiness is short-lived. The happiness that I help you to create is forever and it gives you a better way of helping yourself to move forward from any problems that you might have later on in your life.
Speaker 1:Anyway, that is January the 13th. Before that, we've got happy christmas greetings, happy holidays. I will always say happy christmas because that's what I feel comfortable saying. I do appreciate some people don't say that, so I'll say happy holidays, and if people don't like that, then it's enjoy the end of december. I'll see you all in January and I'll see quite a lot of you, I'm sure, on January the 13th.
